What You’ll Be Doing

Join a dynamic Assessment & Liaison service providing comprehensive mental health care to adults with complex bio?psychosocial needs. In this senior role, you will:

• Provide overall clinical and operational leadership to the team, ensuring safe, effective and evidence?based practice • Oversee service users’ care pathways, ensuring high?quality assessment, planning, intervention and review • Lead multidisciplinary working, maintaining strong communication with CMHTs, HTT, inpatient wards, social care and external agencies • Deliver low?intensity CBT, psychoeducation and recovery?focused interventions where appropriate • Ensure compliance with MHA, CPA, safeguarding, Human Rights Act and all relevant legislation • Provide regular supervision, appraisal and mentorship to junior staff and students • Support service development, quality improvement, audits, benchmarking and modernisation projects • Manage team resources, staffing levels, recruitment, bank/agency usage and cost?effective service delivery • Chair MDTs, interagency meetings and case discussions to support safe, coordinated care • Maintain high standards of documentation, communication and clinical governance • Respond to incidents, review Datix reports and implement learning to improve practice • Promote service?user involvement, dignity, independence and culturally sensitive care • Act as a senior point of escalation for complex clinical decisions, safeguarding concerns and operational issues

Requirements & Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• Current and valid NMC registration (RMN) or equivalent professional registration • Strong experience within Community Mental Health, Assessment & Liaison or similar settings • Proven experience managing a caseload and overseeing clinical practice • Experience supervising staff, completing appraisals and supporting professional development • Knowledge of evidence?based interventions for complex mental health needs • Strong understanding of MHA, CPA, safeguarding, Human Rights Act and relevant legislation • Excellent communication skills, including handling sensitive issues and chairing MDTs • Ability to work in a fast?paced environment and manage competing priorities • Experience working within a multidisciplinary team and across agencies • Commitment to service?user involvement and recovery?focused practice • Immediate availability preferred

Working Hours & Contract Duration

This role offers 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with an ongoing contract and strong potential for extension.
