Hunter Gatherer Mental Health are currently working with KMMHT to recruit a Band 6 Community Psychiatric Nurse for the DGS MHT Plus team based in Dartford.

Job Title: Community Psychiatric Nurse
Band: 6
Location: Dartford
Duration: 3 months ongoing (likely extension)
Start Date: ASAP
Working Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Working Pattern: Monday – Friday
Shift Pattern: 09:00 – 17:00
Rate: £27 per hour

What You’ll Be Doing
• Assess service users and analyse information to formulate risk and care needs
• Work collaboratively with service users, carers, and professionals to develop recovery-focused care plans
• Deliver and review therapeutic interventions, modifying where required to improve outcomes
• Promote independence, engagement, and choice while balancing risk
• Provide clinical leadership aligned with NICE guidance and professional standards
• Support quality improvement initiatives and service development
• Carry out triage and comprehensive assessments
• Work effectively within a multidisciplinary community mental health team

Requirements & Qualifications
• Registered Mental Health Nurse with valid NMC registration
• Previous Band 6 CPN experience
• Community mental health experience with older and younger adults
• Strong assessment and care planning skills
• Experience working within a multi-professional environment
• Rio system knowledge essential
• CRAM training desirable
• Ability to manage risk and complex caseloads

Working Hours & Contract Duration
This is a full-time role working Monday to Friday, 9am–5pm, for an initial 3-month contract with strong likelihood of extension.
