Community Psychiatric Nurse (Older Adult) – South Yorkshire – Ongoing

• Position: Community Psychiatric Nurse – Older Adults
• Band: 6
• Location: South Yorkshire
• Duration: 3 months (ongoing)
• Schedule: Full-time (37.5 hours per week)
• Start Date: ASAP
• Rate of Pay: £26 per hour

A Day in the Life of a Community Psychiatric Nurse:

As a specialist in community mental health nursing, you will play a critical role in delivering care to older adults. Your responsibilities will include:

• Conducting home visits to ensure patients' needs are met and providing ongoing support.
• Administering medications at scheduled times to manage patients' conditions effectively.
• Engaging with patients to understand their mental health conditions, helping them navigate their challenges, and monitoring their progress.
• Performing risk assessments to ensure patient safety and creating a secure environment for their treatment.

Requirements and Qualifications:

• Active registration with the NMC as a mental health nurse.
• Proven community experience in a similar role.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work under pressure.
• Capability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Commitment to delivering the highest quality of patient care.
