Rate of Pay: £26ph (Days) | £31ph (Saturdays) | £36ph (Sundays)

What You'll Be Doing:

Join a specialist CAMHS Crisis Team providing rapid assessment, intervention and recovery-focused care to children and young people experiencing acute mental health crises. In this role, you will:

  • Respond rapidly to referrals for young people presenting in mental health crisis
  • Complete comprehensive bio-psycho-social and mental health risk assessments
  • Develop holistic, safety-focused and recovery-oriented care plans
  • Provide crisis intervention and therapeutic support to young people and their families/carers
  • Support young people across crisis pathways, including 72-hour interventions and 4–6 week intensive support
  • Undertake assessments and interventions within emergency departments, paediatric wards, schools, community settings and family homes
  • Liaise with specialist inpatient CAMHS services where admission is required
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and partner agencies to reduce unnecessary hospital admissions
  • Identify and respond to safeguarding concerns in line with Trust policies
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation and contribute to effective care planning

Requirements & Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Current and valid NMC registration as a Mental Health Nurse
  • Previous experience working within CAMHS services
  • Experience completing bio-psycho-social assessments, risk assessments and safety planning
  • Strong knowledge of crisis intervention and risk management
  • Excellent communication and multidisciplinary working skills
  • Ability to work autonomously within a fast-paced crisis service
  • Experience supporting children, young people and families with complex mental health needs
  • Immediate availability is desirable

Working Hours & Contract Duration:

This role offers 37.5 hours per week on a flexible shift pattern with an ongoing contract and strong potential for long-term extension.
