Occupational Health Advisor
Pay rate: £32 – £34 per hour
Hours: 22.5 hours per week (flexible)
Duration: Ongoing
Location: North Yorkshire (1st week induction on-site, then remote working)
Overview:
We are supporting a local council with a requirement for an experienced Occupational Health Advisor to join their Occupational Health & Wellbeing Service. This is a small, specialist team delivering high-quality occupational health support across the Council, schools, academies and external contracts.
This role offers a high level of autonomy, with the majority of work carried out remotely following an initial on-site induction week in North Yorkshire.
Key responsibilities:
• Manage a caseload of occupational health referrals end-to-end
• Deliver case management focused assessments and reports
• Provide clear, practical and outcome-focused advice to managers
• Support sickness absence management and return-to-work planning
• Contribute to wider occupational health and wellbeing initiatives
• Work independently while collaborating with a small specialist team
Requirements:
• Qualified Occupational Health Advisor
• NMC registered (Part 3 desirable)
• Proven experience in occupational health case management
• Strong report writing and communication skills
• Ability to manage workload autonomously
• Focus on delivering practical, outcome-driven advice
