Job Description:
Hunter AHP is seeking an experienced Band 6 Physiotherapist to join the Therapies team within an acute setting based in Devon. This is an ongoing role focused on supporting DMOPS and Medicine wards, playing a key part in patient assessment, rehabilitation, and discharge planning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Undertake timely and comprehensive physiotherapy assessments across DMOPS and Medicine wards
  • Determine patient discharge readiness and required physiotherapy interventions
  • Carry out parallel planning to support efficient patient flow
  • Develop, implement, and monitor individualised exercise and rehabilitation programmes
  • Work collaboratively with hospital teams, community services, and the wider multidisciplinary team (MDT)
  • Support timely patient flow and safe discharge processes

Requirements:

  • HCPC registered Physiotherapist
  • Previous Band 6 experience within an acute NHS setting
  • Strong experience working on medical wards / DMOPS
  • Excellent communication and MDT working skills
  • Ability to manage a varied caseload independently

Contract Type: Ongoing
Pay Rate: £26 per hour
