Pay Rate:
£26 per hour

Hours:
Monday – Friday
9:00am – 5:00pm
Full Time (1 WTE)
Reduced hours may be considered for suitable candidates

Overview:

Hunter Mental Health are currently recruiting for an experienced Band 6 CAMHS Practitioner to join a specialist Neurodevelopmental and Youth Justice pathway.

This is an excellent opportunity to work within a community CAMHS service supporting young people with neurodevelopmental needs, complex mental health presentations and involvement with Youth Justice Services. The role offers a varied caseload with significant multi-agency working and care coordination responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Undertake neurodevelopmental screening and assessments
  • Provide care coordination to support CAMHS interventions
  • Work collaboratively with CAMHS, FCAMHS, Social Care, Education and Youth Justice Services
  • Attend and contribute to multi-agency risk management panels
  • Participate in Child in Need and safeguarding meetings
  • Support risk assessment and management planning for vulnerable young people
  • Conduct assessments within CAMHS settings, schools, Youth Justice locations and family homes
  • Maintain accurate clinical records using RiO and ChildView systems
  • Manage and prioritise a busy community caseload

Requirements:

  • Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN), Occupational Therapist or Social Worker
  • Previous CAMHS experience
  • Experience working with neurodevelopmental presentations
  • Knowledge of Youth Justice Services
  • Experience of safeguarding and risk management
  • Strong care coordination and assessment skills
  • Ability to work autonomously within community settings
  • Car driver with access to a vehicle preferred due to community travel requirements

Desirable:

  • FCAMHS experience
  • ADHD and Autism pathway experience
  • Youth Justice experience
  • Community CAMHS experience
  • Experience using RiO and/or ChildView
