Band 6 CPN – Older Adults CMHT – Guildford

Hunter Mental Health are currently supporting an Older Adults Community Mental Health Team based in Guildford with their search for a Band 6 Community Psychiatric Nurse.

This is a full-time locum role working Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm. The service is ideally looking for someone with previous Older Adults CMHT experience, although candidates with strong adult CMHT experience will also be considered.

Job Title: Band 6 CPN – Older Adults CMHT
Location: Guildford
Pay Rate: £26 per hour
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm
Start Date: Within the next 2 to 4 weeks
Contract: Locum / ongoing

Key Responsibilities:

• Managing a community caseload within an Older Adults Mental Health Team
• Completing mental health assessments, risk assessments and care planning
• Supporting older adults with complex mental health needs in the community
• Liaising with families, carers, GPs, social care and wider MDT colleagues
• Completing home visits across rural areas
• Supporting discharge planning, relapse prevention and ongoing community care
• Maintaining accurate clinical records in line with Trust standards

Requirements:

• Registered Mental Health Nurse with valid NMC registration
• Previous Older Adults CMHT experience preferred
• Strong adult CMHT experience will also be considered
• Confident completing community assessments and managing risk
• Car driver essential due to rural caseload coverage
• Able to start within the next 2 to 4 weeks
• Available Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm

Additional Information:

Mileage is not paid directly by the Trust. Candidates may be able to claim allowable mileage relief through HMRC, subject to their own tax circumstances.
