Hunter Gatherer Mental Health are recruiting 4 x Band 6 CPNs / Social Workers for exciting community opportunities across Stevenage, St Albans and Hemel Hempstead. These are full-time locum positions with an ASAP start, offering long-term contracts and Monday-Friday working hours.

Job Title: Band 6 Community Psychiatric Nurse / Social Worker
Locations: Stevenage (2 posts), St Albans and Hemel Hempstead
Service: PATH East & North, PATH West & Community Service NW Dacorum
Start Date: ASAP
Duration: Until December 2026 / January 2027
Working Pattern: Monday-Friday, 9:00am-5:00pm (37.5 hours per week)
Pay Rate: £26 per hour

What You'll Be Doing

  • Managing a community mental health caseload.
  • Completing mental health assessments and risk assessments.
  • Developing and reviewing care plans.
  • Working within a multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality patient care.
  • Liaising with service users, carers and partner agencies.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) or Qualified Social Worker.
  • Previous Community Mental Health experience.
  • Current NMC registration or Social Work England registration.
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle is desirable.

Working Hours & Contract Duration

This is a full-time locum role working 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9:00am-5:00pm, with contracts running until December 2026 / January 2027.
