Locum Adult CMHT Band 6 – South Manchester

Are you a Band 6 Community Psychiatric Nurse (CPN) looking for your next Community Mental Health opportunity?

We're currently recruiting on behalf of Greater Manchester Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust for experienced Band 6 Community Psychiatric Nurses to join the South Adult Community Mental Health Team on an ongoing locum basis. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a supportive multidisciplinary team delivering recovery-focused care to adults with complex mental health needs.

Role: Band 6 Community Psychiatric Nurse / Care Coordinator
Pay Rate: £26 per hour
? Location: Altrincham, Greater Manchester
? Hours: Monday–Friday, 9:00am–5:00pm (37.5 hours per week)
? Start Date: ASAP – Ongoing Contract

? Main Duties:

• Manage a caseload of adults with complex mental health needs within the Community Mental Health Team (CMHT).
• Undertake comprehensive mental health, risk and biopsychosocial assessments and develop person-centred care plans.
• Deliver recovery-focused interventions, promoting independence and positive mental wellbeing.
• Work collaboratively with service users, carers and the wider multidisciplinary team to coordinate high-quality care.
• Complete Care Act, Mental Capacity Act and safeguarding assessments where appropriate.
• Maintain accurate clinical records and ensure care is delivered in line with Trust policies, the Mental Health Act and NMC standards.

Essential Requirements:

• Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) with current NMC registration.
• Previous experience working within a Community Mental Health Team (CMHT).
• Experience undertaking mental health assessments, risk assessments and care coordination.
• Sound knowledge of the Mental Health Act, Mental Capacity Act and Care Act.
• Excellent communication, clinical decision-making and care planning skills.
• Ability to work autonomously whilst contributing effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
