Are you a Band 6 Community Psychiatric Nurse looking for a stable and rewarding locum opportunity within a Community Mental Health Team in Salford? Duration: Ongoing Contract
Schedule: Full Time | Monday – Friday, 9am – 5pm
Rate of Pay: £26ph

What You’ll Be Doing:
Join a Community Mental Health Team managing a varied and complex caseload across community settings. In this role, you will:

• Manage a defined CMHT caseload of service users with complex mental and physical health needs
• Undertake comprehensive assessments, care planning, implementation and evaluation of interventions
• Deliver evidence-based, person-centred care in line with relevant clinical pathways (functional and dementia)
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation in line with operational procedures
• Provide professional advice and guidance to junior and support staff
• Participate in the CMHT duty rota and contribute to urgent clinical response work
• Support service development through involvement in planning, evaluation and project work
• Provide supervision and support to students on placement
• Work in line with professional standards, ethics and codes of conduct
• Respect individuality, cultural diversity, values and religious needs of service users and colleagues

Requirements & Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will need:

• Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) with valid NMC registration
• Experience working within Community Mental Health Teams (CMHT)
• Strong caseload management skills within complex community presentations
• Ability to complete comprehensive assessments and risk management planning
• Experience supporting MDT working and contributing to care coordination
• Ability to work autonomously and manage competing clinical priorities
• Strong communication and documentation skills
• Experience supervising or supporting junior staff/students (desirable but not essential)

Working Hours & Contract Duration:
This role offers full time hours, Monday to Friday, 9am–5pm, on an ongoing contract with long-term potential.
