Are you a Band 6 Mental Health Practitioner looking for your next opportunity within an Early Intervention in Psychosis Service?
We're currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established NHS Mental Health Trust in Manchester for an experienced Mental Health Practitioner to join their specialist Early Intervention in Psychosis team. This is an excellent opportunity for a Mental Health Nurse, Social Worker or Occupational Therapist to support people experiencing a first episode of psychosis through assessment, care coordination and early intervention.
Role: Band 6 Mental Health Practitioner – Early Intervention in Psychosis
Pay Rate: £26 per hour
? Location: Manchester
? Hours: Monday–Friday, 9am–5pm
? Start Date: ASAP – 2 months
? Main Duties:
Complete initial assessments for service users referred into the Early Intervention in Psychosis service.
Ensure assessments are completed within the required NHS England Access and Waiting Time Standards.
Participate in the team's duty rota, responding to new referrals and clinical presentations.
Undertake care coordination for an allocated caseload.
Work closely with the wider multidisciplinary team (MDT) to review referrals and develop appropriate care plans.
Complete comprehensive risk assessments and management plans.
Support service users experiencing a first episode of psychosis, promoting recovery and independence.
Develop effective working relationships with service users, families, carers and external professionals.
Maintain accurate clinical records and ensure documentation meets professional and Trust standards.
Participate in ongoing training and professional development relevant to the role.

Essential Requirements:
Professional registration as a Mental Health Nurse (NMC), Social Worker (Social Work England) or Occupational Therapist (HCPC).
Relevant experience within mental health services.
Strong experience in clinical assessment and risk assessment.
Experience working within a multidisciplinary team.
Ability to undertake assessments and make sound clinical decisions.
Strong communication and organisational skills.
Experience within Early Intervention in Psychosis (EIP) is highly desirable.
Knowledge of the PANSS assessment tool is desirable.
