Role: Locum Community Psychiatric Nurse (CPN) – Crisis Team
Location: West Midlands
Hours: 22.5 hours per week (But must attend Wednesday mornings)
Rate: £26 per hour umbrella
Contract: Immediate start
Band: 6
About the Role:
Are you an experienced and compassionate Community Psychiatric Nurse (CPN) with a passion for helping individuals in crisis? We are seeking a dedicated Locum CPN to join a Crisis Team in the West Midlands. This is a vital role focused on supporting service users who frequently present in crisis, exploring alternative strategies to reduce urgent care attendances and admissions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality, person-centered care to individuals experiencing mental health crises.
- Collaborate with service users to develop tailored strategies for managing distress and reducing reliance on urgent care services.
- Conduct assessments and interventions in community settings.
- Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure a holistic approach to care.
- Support service users in accessing appropriate resources and services to promote recovery and well-being.
About You:
The ideal candidate will have:
- Experience: Significant experience working in a community mental health setting, particularly with individuals in crisis.
- Skills: Strong communication, assessment, and intervention skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with service users.
- Knowledge: A solid understanding of mental health crises and strategies to prevent frequent urgent care attendance or hospital admissions.
- Flexibility: Availability to work 22.5 hours per week, including Wednesday mornings, with a flexible approach to scheduling the remaining hours.
- Qualifications: Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) with current NMC registration.
