We are currently recruiting for an experienced Social Worker to join an Adult Social Work team on an ongoing locum basis.
The successful candidate will undertake statutory Social Work duties for adults and carers, including assessments, care management, adult protection work and outcome-focused interventions designed to maximise independence.
You will work closely with Occupational Therapists, Mental Health Officers, Health professionals and other partner agencies to ensure individuals receive appropriate support and achieve the best possible outcomes.
Undertake statutory Social Work duties in accordance with relevant Scottish legislation, policies and procedures.
Complete adult assessments and reviews, working collaboratively with Health and other professionals.
Undertake adult protection work, including the role of Council Officer where required.
Manage a caseload under direct professional supervision.
Develop, implement and review individual care management and support plans.
Promote independence and deliver outcome-focused interventions.
Work jointly with Occupational Therapists, Mental Health Officers, Health professionals and other agencies.
Provide advice, support and guidance to carers.
Liaise with external agencies on behalf of service users and carers.
Participate in team meetings and multidisciplinary working.
Maintain accurate and comprehensive records in line with departmental procedures.
Participate in supervision, training and continuing professional development.
Promote anti-discriminatory practice and uphold Social Work values.
Promote understanding of Social Work services and encourage appropriate community involvement.
Work in accordance with health and safety, equal opportunities and relevant policies.
Adhere to the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) Code of Practice.
We are looking for an experienced Adult Social Worker who is confident undertaking statutory Social Work duties and managing a caseload independently.
Essential requirements:
Relevant Social Work qualification.
Registered with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC).
Previous experience working within Adult Social Work.
Experience undertaking assessments, reviews and care management.
Knowledge and experience of adult protection/safeguarding.
Ability to manage a caseload effectively.
Experience working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary environment.
Strong understanding of outcome-focused and person-centred practice.
Excellent communication, organisation and report-writing skills.
Commitment to promoting independence and positive outcomes for service users and carers.
Right to work in the UK.
